Van Deurzen and Associates, P.A. is a Structural Engineering firm located in Overland Park, Kansas. We specialize in all facets of residential, commercial, industrial, and retaining wall structural design. Our primary mission is to provide the client with innovative and economical design solutions through technical support and project development experience. We are currently located near the intersection of College Boulevard and Quivira Road in Overland Park, KS.
Van Deurzen and Associates was founded in 1983 by principle engineer John T. Van Deurzen. He brought with him ten years of structural expertise in light and heavy commercial, industrial and residential design, as well as knowledge of all types of building materials.
Since its inception, Van Deurzen and Associates has offered structural engineering capabilities servicing the greater Kansas City area and throughout the United States. We are licensed in 43 states and the District of Columbia. Through the years we have undertaken and completed many projects for a multitude of clients, developing a reputation for providing timely and economical designs and priding itself on receiving repeat business from satisfied clients.
Van Deurzen and Associates has extensive knowledge in all facets of commercial and residential engineering applications. We work with all types of construction materials, including reinforced concrete, structural steel, wood, light-gauge metal framing, and both reinforced and un-reinforced masonry. We offer services extended to every facet of construction from building planning and design, to architectural rendering services, to final engineering design, to inspections and reports.
Van Deurzen and Associates specializes in structural design; and, through involvement in professional activities, is able to offer state of the art designs and product specifications. We are on the forefront of innovation in the construction industry. We have developed our own software for faster production of working drawings for retaining walls. All drawings produced in house can be made available on our FTP site for bidding purposes. We also provide Building Information Modeling (BIM) services and rendering services.
By working closely with architects, developers, contractors, and owners, Van Deurzen and Associates is able to offer practical and cost effective solutions to complex problems encountered in the design and construction phases of construction projects.
